If you are having any steering or handling issues, our Trackbar upgrade is the first place to start! Our Trackbar is designed to be very rigid, with as close to ZERO deflection as possible.

Often people will think that having a rigid track bar will give steering vibration and rattle, but this is simply not true, being that the Trackbar is the only support for the steering linkage. The less deflection in the Trackbar, the less deflection in the steering. Simple as that!

Fitment:

  • If you have a 2003-2007 truck, read the below bolt size note before ordering!!
Details:
  • Everything except the Heim Joint and hardware is manufactured in house from raw materials.
  • Includes our Tool Steel 33mm/1.28" Crowfoot Wrench
  • Made from 1.50"x3/8" wall 1026 DOM tube.
  • Delrin machined frame side bushing.
  • CNC machined form threaded Heim joint tube end.
  • Bead blast textured, then high quality Powder Coated.
  • Adjustable length (within spec)
  • Grease fitting for frame bushing.
  • Extreme duty FK Teflon lined rod end at axle side.
  • DOES NOT FUNCTION WITH LARGER AFTERMARKET DIFF COVERS!!!!!

Note: From 2003 to approximately 2007.5, these trucks used 14mm(shank size) bolts on both ends of the Trackbar. Then around the middle of 2007, some trucks were coming with a 14mm bolt on the frame side and a 16mm bolt on the axle side.

If you have a 2003-2007 truck and you're unsure if you have mismatched hardware, you should purchase the above 2008-2013 option with hardware included, and plan to possibly drill out the mounting flange(s) to a bigger 5/8"(16mm) hole.

Regardless, If you have a 2003-2007 truck, we highly recommend you upgrade to the 2008-2013 option with hardware included, as the 14mm OEM hardware is engineered too small in our opinion.

    The product was well built and fixed the issue of slop in my steering. Great suggestion to put the track bar into the hitch receiver to tighten the bearing nut when torquing it.

    Ram track bar purchase installation

    where to start ... the gang at Thurin took the week off between Christmas and New Year. even so they got this bar into UPS truck right in the middle of that vacation.
    unbox. the piece is gorgeous. well packaged , serious consideration given to packaging.
    serious and thoughtful design all the right parts and the right Kind of parts for the application. flange bolts amd the flag nuts are of superior quality.
    no SQUID stuff here. This gang means business in the business of track rods.
    install is .... guys if you must go to 16mm from 14 mm, avoid at all cost cutting corners
    you will be required to drop the tie rod/ drag link to get at the bracket with a drill bit. and here is a caution. be ever so careful in this. use a brushless cordless or a pneumatic drill- something short. if possible get a reamer. i did not have one at my Grainger store in 16mm.
    but find one and be very careful. i ended up with a 17mm hole on the outer hole passenger side because i had a henry homeowner 5/8" bit from lowes. avoid this if you can. The pressures in this application dont allow for even this varience and im irritated at myself for allowing this to happen . im 1300 miles from my home shop and i made do but its far from what i wanted to see.
    the old ram here is maintained in very top condition. i bought thurin because . new moog bushings installed in July 24' failed me in a spectacular fashion on the California interstate.
    a near death experience for me and those other vehicles near me. i put new bushings in again in dec of ' 24.then went looking for a better solution

    the truck even with expert and careful maintenance that ive given it, drove markedly better with the thurin rod installed.
    steering is crisper. there is zero road vibration, the confidence at the wheel is improved, and ive fixed this problem for the last time. the money spent on this fix is well spent if your rig is well maintained like this one is and if you do want to avoid splattering you and the contents of your rig all over the freeway. My event shook the sideboards out of the stake pockets on the flatbed and scattered my loosley secured ( it' ll never blow off) possessions into the lane of traffic. imagine retrieving them on a California freeway!!
    so a word ( or many) to those who will listen. buy thurin ride with a sense of having kissed the death wobble goodbye

    What are track bar!

    I am upgrading from the Synergy track bar on my mega cab. With everything torqued and verified torqued there is movement in both bushings. But with the Thuren I won't be having that issue.
