Fitment:

  • 2014-2024 Ram 2500 rear suspension

Details:

  • Must purchase our rear shocks to be used with this kit.
  • If not listed as a Dual-Rate coil, it is Single-Rate.

Dual-Rate Coils info: Our Dual-Rate coils were originally conceived for our soon to be released Rear 2014-2024 Ram 2500/PW Predator Long-Travel suspension system, as our Single-Rate coils were just too short to allow full travel.

Once we got these coils in for testing and on some trucks, we quickly realized these will most likely be our top seller rear coils, as they ride great AND handle weight really well.

Our Dual-Rate coils do ride better than the Stock OEM coils, but they do not ride quite as good down the highway as our single rate coils. Reason being, even with an unloaded truck, at normal ride height they are sitting firmly on the stiffer(250lb/inch) spring rate.

This is why they handle weight so much better than our Single Rate coils. The trick was adding the softer zone to the coil, to allow the coil to extend more providing up to 15" of suspension travel, but this softer zone does not activate until the axle moves away from the chassis.

With weight added to the bed our Dual-Rate coils will sag a little more than the stock coils, so expect about 1/2" more sag with 800lbs in the bed, compared to the stock OEM coils. As with any coils, even the OEM stiff rear coils, if you load or tow REALLY heavy you will need Airbags or something similar.

With our Dual-Rate coils installed on an unloaded Quad-Cab truck expect about a 1/2" lift over stock height, and with the heavier Mega-Cab, the ride height will be about the same as stock. If you have a much lighter Standard-Cab truck,(though not tested yet)you may end up with 1.5" lift over stock height.

Single-Rate Coils info: Our Single-Rate rear coils are much softer than the OEM rear coils, providing a ride more like a 1/2 ton truck. If you're rarely loading the truck bed, or only rarely towing moderate weight for short distances, the rear end will sag a few inches with our standard Single-Rate coils, and air-bags are not really needed. If loading very heavy, plan on Airbags or a similar load support system added.

With our Single-Rate coils being so soft, weight added to the rear of the truck will exaggerate the lowering effect. So, if you have 500lbs added to the bed with your stock coils, that 1/2" of sag will be about 1" of sag with our Single-Rate coils.

Mega Cab and Single Cab trucks are not as common as the Quad Cab we designed these coils around, so keep in mid the Mega Cab is about 700lbs heavier than the Quad Cab, and the Single Cab is about 700lbs lighter, so subtract/add about 1/2" to 1" of height if you have one of those trucks. Final lift heights are not guaranteed.

Add Shim Kit if your truck is a Mega Cab

Added the Dual Rate roil coils to the overall system that I purchased. Truck rides good, however the squat is killing me. Spoke with your team stated the truck should sit level in rear even with the added weight of the topper. Unfortunately the truck now has a squat in the rear that drives me nuts, in the future might want to tell the customer that the shim kit will be needed for the truck to sit level. After spending the money for the front and rear kit and then the install, to make it look correct I will have to purchase the shim kit and then either pay for it to be installed or figure it out. Save money by ordering the shim kit automatically, because paying for another install is not fun for the added length of the coils makes the shim kit install more difficult in trying to get enough drop in the axle to have the space for the shims. The squat drives me nuts. Great product, just if paying for install try to get it right the first time.

22 Ram 2500 rear 1in soft ride springs

In all honesty Its a 5 star! It rode amazing did want I wanted it to do. Except for one thing When I hooked up to my trailer it dropped like 2.5 inches and was riding on the bump stops. Unfortunately can’t have that so had to switch them out and went with a set of Carli. They do not ride as nice as the thuren but there’s not much drop. I really wished the thurens would have worked. I have the thuren 2.75 springs in the front with fox shocks and did the front sway bar and rear track bar. The truck is a huge huge difference over stock. That’s the reason for a 4 star.

    Massively Improved Ride

I did a Thuren front leveling kit and the Rear Coil kit with the dual rate springs for my 2022 2500. This has been the single best suspension quality improvement I have done to any vehicle. It is so much smoother while still being functional offroad. 10/10 would buy again!

    Rear coil kit

I was surprised at the difference Thuren coils and the Bilstein shocks made. A little pricey, but I’m willing to pay for something that works.
